Lafayette Elementary School

Darlene Wong-McKee - Pre-K

Hello!  My name is Darlene Wong-McKee and I am the Pre-K teacher of the Auditory/Oral Deaf/Hard of Hearing class in Room      126.  I have been teaching at Lafayette School since 2009.  I am a native San Franciscan and attended San Francisco public schools (Paul Revere, Aptos and Lowell).  After a few career changes, I decided to go back to school to become a teacher.  I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from University of California-Berkeley.   I received my Multiple Subjects Teaching  Credential, Special Education-Communication Handicapped Credential (Deaf/Hard of Hearing) and Master’s in Deaf Education  from San Francisco State University.    Lafayette is a great place to teach!  I am glad to be a part of such a wonderful community of students, parents and  professionals.  Looking forward to a great school year!

My name is Sheri Sitkoff and I excited to be teaching the DHH K-2 class this year.  I am new to Lafayette School, but not new to teaching.  I am a veteran kindergarten -2nd grade teacher with over 20 years of classroom experience.  I completed my undergraduate degree in Liberal Studies at San Francisco State University and then went on to earn my Teacher Credential from the University of San Francisco in 1992.
I am a native Californian and called San Francisco home for many years. When I'm not in the classroom,  I enjoy reading, yoga, hiking the trails of Marin County, seeing movies and spending time with friends.  I am honored and thrilled to be part  of the amazing Lafayette family!
